🏔️ EXPLORE COLORADO

If you're visiting Colorado for the first time, we hope you'll consider extending your stay and experiencing a little more of our beautiful state! From mountain views and charming downtowns to iconic Colorado landmarks, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Here are a few of our favorite ways to explore while you're here:

🏘️ Explore Downtown Castle Rock

Spend a few hours strolling through charming Downtown Castle Rock, filled with local boutiques, restaurants, coffee shops and breweries. And, of course, don't miss the town's namesake rock formation!

🌺 Visit Garden of the Gods

Make your way south to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs for spectacular red-rock formations and beautiful Colorado scenery. Walk or drive through the park and don't forget your camera—this is one of those places that truly feels like Colorado!

🥾 Take in the Views at Spruce Mountain Open Space

Looking for a little fresh mountain air? Spruce Mountain Open Space offers beautiful trails and scenic views near the wedding venue. It's a wonderful way to experience Colorado's natural beauty without planning an entire day around it.

⛳ Tee It Up

Golf lovers, you're in the right place! Enjoy a round at The Inverness Denver, or venture toward Larkspur for a beautiful Colorado golf experience at Bear Dance Golf Club. Mountain views + a day on the course = a pretty perfect Colorado afternoon.

🎶 Experience Red Rocks

If there's a concert happening during your stay, seeing a show at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre is an unforgettable Colorado experience. Even without a concert, Red Rocks is worth visiting for the incredible scenery, trails and views.

🏔️ Discover Rocky Mountain National Park

Have an extra day? Take a drive to Rocky Mountain National Park for breathtaking mountain scenery, wildlife and some of Colorado's most spectacular landscapes. This is best saved for guests extending their stay, as you'll want plenty of time to explore.

🏙️ Spend a Day in Denver

Head into Downtown Denver for restaurants, shopping, museums and sightseeing, or continue west into the foothills to get another taste of Colorado's mountain lifestyle.

💆‍♀️ Relax at The Inverness

Not every free moment needs an adventure! Guests staying at The Inverness Denver can enjoy a relaxing spa treatment, a round of golf, time by the pool or simply unwind at the resort before the wedding festivities begin.

☀️ A LITTLE COLORADO TIP

Colorado is known for its sunshine, beautiful mountain air and higher elevation. Remember to drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen and bring a light layer—even after a warm, sunny day, our evenings can cool down quickly.

Whether you're here for just the wedding weekend or turning your trip into a Colorado getaway, we hope you have an amazing time exploring.

We can't wait to celebrate with you in beautiful Colorado! 🤍

Welcome to Colorado

We are so excited to welcome you to Colorado for our wedding weekend! If this is your first visit to the Centennial State—or you simply have a little extra time between celebrations—we hope you'll take the opportunity to explore. From beautiful mountain scenery and hiking trails to charming towns, shopping, golf and some of Colorado's most iconic sights, there is plenty to experience nearby.

Stay & Relax at The Inverness

For guests looking for a relaxing day without venturing far, The Inverness Denver offers plenty to enjoy right at the resort. Schedule a treatment at the spa, play a round on the 18-hole championship golf course, enjoy tennis or pickleball, or simply relax by the pool before getting ready for the festivities.

Experience the Colorado Outdoors

For a taste of Colorado without committing to a full mountain excursion, Spruce Mountain Open Space Trail is a beautiful option near Larkspur. Enjoy hiking and expansive Colorado scenery close to Spruce Mountain Ranch.

For guests who would like another scenic outdoor option, Sandstone Ranch Open Space features open meadows, red-rock formations and beautiful foothill views.

Visit Garden of the Gods

If you have a little more time, Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs is one of the experiences I would absolutely include for first-time Colorado visitors. The dramatic red-rock formations are quintessentially Colorado, and guests can hike, bike, take a guided experience or simply enjoy the scenery. The park's Visitor & Nature Center is a helpful starting point.

Tee Off in the Foothills

Golfers may want to reserve a tee time at Golf Club At Bear Dance in Larkspur. It's a great way to experience Colorado's scenery while staying relatively close to the wedding festivities.

Guests can also golf right at The Inverness on its 18-hole championship course.

Make a Day of Denver & Red Rocks

Guests extending their stay may want to head toward Denver and the foothills for a day of sightseeing. Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre is one of Colorado's signature destinations and can easily be paired with nearby Morrison.

Families can also stop at Dinosaur Ridge Main Visitor Center, where visitors can see dinosaur tracks and fossils in the landscape near Red Rocks.

A Few Colorado Tips

Colorado's elevation can be noticeable for guests arriving from lower elevations. Spruce Mountain Ranch itself sits at approximately 7,300 feet, so drinking plenty of water is especially important. Alcohol may also affect you differently at altitude.

Bring sunscreen, comfortable shoes and a light layer. Colorado days can be warm and sunny while evenings cool down quickly.
